Even today the introduction of straightforward design and a structured user guidance by the Braun company continues to be a benchmark for excellence in industrial design.

Until 1995 Dieter Rams, possibly the most influential industrial designer of modern age, was head of product design at the Braun company, paving the way for its seminal impact. At the company‘s location in Kronberg the permanent exhibition of the “BraunSammlung” (“Braun Collection“) presents the development of its pioneering design of household appliances and equipment, ranging from the first Braun radio to the world famous record player SK4 nicknamed “Snow White‘s Coffin” to the most up-to-date products.
